Sales Analyst (New Jersey)
The primary objective of this role as sales analyst is to provide critical support of the company’s business analytics, processes, and strategies in the sales organization. It’s an exceptional opportunity to work for an exciting and emerging specialty pharmaceutical company to improve our operating procedures and effectiveness as we grow.
Primary Responsibilities (Include and are not limited to):
- Develop and maintain all field sales operations and procedures
- Provide day-to-day support of DRS and Sales Force Automation (SFA) systems and assist in sample accountability/compliance and materials fulfillment.
- Monitor and review all Incentive Compensation programs and communicate results to management.
- Analyze and review target and territory alignments with field management and consultants.
- Utilize QlikView to assist in key analyses that identify opportunities and risks in sales performance metrics
- Ensure consistent, reliable, and quality delivery of all standard reporting deliverables
- Completion of ad hoc reports at the request of management
- Including other responsibilities as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree, MBA is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years pharmaceutical sales operations experience
- Highly detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Access, Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience with data base management systems including Access, SQL, QlikView etc.
- Experience with 3rd party data providers (i.e. IMS/Wolters-Kluwer) and knowledge of SFA/CRM platforms.
Sales Professionals
Candidates with proven success in sales and an appreciation for a start-up culture and entrepreneurial spirit are invited to apply.
Representatives will be selling a new, FDA-approved migraine treatment that combines a time-tested compound with an innovative technology. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate a strong desire and ability to sell in a competitive market, in addition to the ability to learn and discuss technical information. Candidates should also excel in applying business processes that lead to achievement of sales objectives.
Travel within assigned territory is required, including overnight travel, as necessary. Attendance at local and national meetings and training sessions is also required. Industry experience is a plus but not a necessity.
Specific skills desired:
Territory Management:
- An entrepreneurial spirit that leads to viewing the sales territory as an "individual" business for which the representative has responsibility and ownership of results and resources
- The ability to maintain accurate target lists to ensure key targets and KOLs are given superior service
Consultative Selling:
- The ability to foster strong customer relationships that are beneficial to business success
- The ability to profile and target key customers and respond to their individual needs
- Must demonstrate strong and effective use of selling skills
- Must be a confident and competent presenter to small and large groups as well as in one-on-one situations
- Must make appropriate use of approved sales aids, studies, and third-party resources on sales calls
Planning and Strategic Thinking:
- Must contribute to the planning and budgeting of territory
- Must identify and implement creative and resourceful mechanisms to overcome barriers to success
